Regarding Jacob/MiB being the same person, it's an intriguing theory just because it's the only one that explains why we haven't heard MiB's name yet. The only other explanation is that he simply doesn't have a name, but I feel that they've been teasing us too much on this.
In response to Big Daddy Des, I want to see Mikhail in the flash sideways. I think his character needs some explanation/resolution and I'd be happy enough if it were done in the sideways universe.
He's certainly more consequential than Martin Keamy, but nothing could be more entertaining than the Christopher Walken impression. If they had worked "cowbell" into that scene, I would have lost it.
